Measurement of C- Reactive Protein (CRP ) Using Magnetic Nanobeads Add ELISA
Abstract Background and Objective: Magnetic nanobeads have a large surface- area-to-volume ratio, which is used for immobilized antibody. Using nanoparticles could increase the amount of antibodies in surface in comparison to ELISA. We investigated the ability of magnetic nanobeads to evaluate CRP by colorimetric method and compared the results with ELISA. Material and Methods: This stud...
متن کاملComparison of Two Methods: Qualitative and Quantitative Study of C - Reactive Protein
Abstract Background and Objective: C - reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase protein produced in liver. It is less than 5 mg per deciliter in the serum and body fluids of normal individuals, but it is increased suddenly within a few hours following inflammatory reaction. In bacterial and viral infections, active rheumatic fever, acute myocardial infarction and rheumatoid arthritis are a...
متن کاملQuantitative Analysis of C - Reactive Protein (CRP) Using Quantum DOTs
In this study, a method of analyzing blood serum and quantification of C-reactive protein (CRP) using quantum dots is proposed. Blood serum is the one that contains many protein including CRP, and hence analyzing this could be helpful in diagnosing any disorder at the earliest. In this study, two experiments are done; one test on blood serum and the other on CRP. Initially, blood serum is separ...

Featured Article: Macy EM, Hayes TE, Tracy RP. Variability in the measurement of C-reactive protein in healthy subjects: Implications for reference intervals and epidemiological applications. Clin Chem 1997;43: 52– 8. The purpose of the work reported in this paper was 2-fold. First, we sought to develop an immunoassay for C-reactive protein (CRP) that could quantify CRP present at low concentra...
متن کاملC-REACTIVE PROTEIN RESPONSE IN ANGINA PECTORIS
C-reactive protein (CRP) response was studied in 44 patients with acute angina pectoris admitted to the coronary care unit. 71 % of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI)had positive CRP test while 73% of patients presumed to have unstable angina pectoris had negative CRP test. This test can be helpful in differentiating between acute MI and unstable angina pectoris.
